1a. Science Investigation Instructions

A worksheet that has proven useful with the new Science SATs format. The children really need to get familiar with investigations and the language associated with it. Used regularly with any science investigation, this will prepare the children well. The accompanying instruction sheet gives advice how to use the worksheet.

2. Fingerprint Investigations

Working with a partner, the children take a print of each finger on their right hand and note differences and similarities between the two individual sets.

3. Investigating Springs Worksheet

A worksheet to allow children to record their findings. Give them a box full of objects that use springs. Children to identify the object, the purpose of the spring, the type of force exerted by the spring (push or pull) and draw a diagram with a force arrow. 2. Mini-Beast Making Exercise

The children are given insect shapes which they can move around the page and combine to make a complete insect. They can then colour the shapes and add labels for the head, body, legs, wings and antenna.
