4. How to Create a Book - Folding Guide

Instructions on making a book by folding one piece of paper. A4 will give you a small book, but A3 is better. Make the book (fiction or non-fiction) for any subject. Or why not build a "My book of verbs, adjectives and adverbs" which can be continually added to during Literacy sessions. Develop ideas and 'effective' word banks for the beginning, middle and end of a story, children can flip between the pages to develop their ideas and even start planning their story from the 'end' etc.

5. Create a Book for a Younger Child

A PowerPoint presentation from Year 6, who were asked to create a book for a younger child. This is their resulting project, entitled 'Matthew's Birthday'.

6. Worksheet on Finding Other Words for 'Said'

A PowerPoint presentation for younger children to teach them the use of the 'wh' phoneme. It includes sounds and pictures and is designed to be very interactive.
